The real sin city.
Lets just talk about this city. The real sin city. A city of resilience and perseverance. I never seen anything like it. These pictures below were actually taken when the city was still sleeping at 1:30 pm. When we just arrived. We did go out at night on Bourbon street, and it was just packed. Everyone drinking in the streets, sailors, the smell of vomit, and broken glass. Bead throwing and breast showing, Mask wearing and fortune telling.
The food was unbelievable. We went on swamp tours, and visited the sugar cane fields. We made masks and had a tour of Mardi Gras world. We even saw a freak show! and of course saw the best Jazz bands. It was also the first time ever my husband and I went somewhere alone - with no kids or family,
Serious. First time in 10 years.
It was so great to hear the stories of the locals, and how they felt during the Hurricane Katrina disaster.
